When we think of Byron Center, we think of community, family, relationships, support, and love. The people that live in the Byron Center area are not just residents, rather we are a family united in belonging to a community, taking pride in our schools, and caring for others. All of which has a spiritual web that keeps us focused and united on gratitude for each other and our community.

Every summer, Hangar students look forward to being part of one of Byron Center’s biggest community celebrations—the Byron Days Parade! For our students, it’s more than just a parade; it’s a chance to get out, have fun, and be part of something bigger than themselves. They love waving to the crowd, passing out candy, cheering on the other floats, and seeing familiar faces throughout the community. Being surrounded by so much encouragement and support reminds our students that they have a community cheering them on. It’s always a day full of laughter, excitement, and plenty of memories—and one our students look forward to every year!
